About Your Hosts
Your hosts Carl and Allison, enjoy connecting guests to our community. We live in Kalgoorlie and enjoy timber-work, heritage, metal work, creative arts, the diverse plants and animals, relaxing having a conversation, and sharing experiences with our guests. We want you to walk away with the best messages and stories of the goldfields.
Carl and I enjoy spending time gardening, relaxing and sharing our region with the rest of the world. We like showing off our community. Time has flown since we have been in Kalgoorlie, ….wow 5 years already ! We want to be here for ever. Brilliant open spaces, 20% of all biodiversity in Australia, ghost towns, fun events and a great community. We enjoy spending time restoring furniture, wood working, stained glass, and sharing the history of our house and our region. Carl and I look forward to meeting you…..
Our house brings us joy and we want to share that with you.

Our unique guest house is heritage listed and has been lovingly restored to showcase the magnificent high ceilings, lead-lights, polished floor boards – as well as the modern bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning for guests to enjoy.
Allora is the Italian word for affection, and fittingly named when the house was built by JD Connolly and offered as a gift from the owner to his future wife as an engagement present. Allora House was built between 1897 and 1940.
We look forward to welcoming you to our property .
